Project Management approach.
The diagram below summarizes the different phases in the life cycle of
typical project executed by BeaconPointe, click on it to see a larger
version. Please note that not all client projects require all of the phases
to be executed.

1. Strategy Development
This engagement provides a comprehensive study of the enterprise, the current
state of the market and the competitors approach to the business segment of
our client. The goal is to assess, define and quantify the potential
opportunity. The assessment includes a definition of the desired services,
and the Client organizations capability to implement the opportunity. A
Strategy Development engagement is most appropriate for clients who do not
have a fully developed business plan.
2. Project Definition
The Project Definition engagement provides a detailed analysis and definition
of the customers interaction and Communication and/or CRM initiative. It is
normally performed in two stages:
Stage 1: The first stage of the Project Definition activities are
designed to define the propose solution needed to implement the strategy, and
determine business requirements and technical feasibility as well as the
creative approach to the project.
Stage 2: The focus of second stage of the Project Definition is to
understand the business solution to be developed in enough detail that a
Fixed Bid/Fixed Time Build project, can commence. The second stage of the
Project Definition finalizes the business and functional requirements, the
initial site map, the data and integration requirements and the basic
technical infrastructure design of the application(s) to be implemented.
3. Build
This phase involves the Fixed Bid/Fixed Time of the application scoped in the
previous phases.
A Build consists of the detailed design, construction and deployment. Some
items included in the Build are the development of the graphical
user-interface, platform module configuration, process flow development,
back-end services integration as well as addressing technical issues
including scalability and security management.
Depending on the nature of the project, some portions of a Build may have to
be done on a T&M basis, while the rest of the project is done on a Fixed
Bid/Fixed Time basis.
